Summary
- Free downloads cost nothing.
- One-time HD purchases are non-refundable.
- Credit-pack refunds are given as credits back to your account, never as money, and at most 3 times per account per calendar month.
Free downloads
Background removal with transparent, white or colour backgrounds is free. Nothing is charged.
One-time HD purchases ($0.99 / $1.99)
One-time purchases are non-refundable. Before you download, you see the HD result on screen and can try the purchase on up to 3 photos, so you can check the result first. The purchase is used when you download an HD result.
Credit packs
Credits never expire. An HD photo uses 1 credit; a photo background or blur uses 1 more (2 in total).
Not happy with an HD result you paid for with credits? Open History from your credits menu, pick the photo and choose Refund. After you confirm, the credits it used (1, or 2 with a photo background or blur) go straight back to your account. Credit refunds:
- are always returned as credits to your changebg account, never as money;
- can be done yourself up to 3 times per account per calendar month;
- beyond that, email us to request more and we'll review it.
If an HD cutout fails because of an error on our side, its credits are returned automatically. This doesn't count towards the monthly limit.

For anything else, or more than 3 refunds in a month, email support@changebg.app from the address on your account and tell us which photo and when. Payments are processed by our payment partner, which acts as the seller of record.
